Torivela is made by Smart-Verkoop, a small Dutch company from Veendam. We help families calmly double-check a suspicious request before money or details are handed over.
Who we are
Torivela is built and run by Smart-Verkoop, a small company from Veendam (Groningen, the Netherlands). No large corporation and no call centre: your question goes straight to the maker. Our real company details are at the bottom of every page and below on this page.
What we do
Scammers often pretend to be a child or friend with a new number. With Torivela you link your loved ones in person beforehand. If you then receive a suspicious request, you have that specific request answered by someone you already knew, outside the conversation. Answering such a request is always free.
Why we started this
Almost everyone knows someone who received a message from a 'child with a new number' or a 'bank employee'. We saw how quickly such messages lead to panic and money transfers. So we built one simple tool that lets you stop, think and double-check, in plain language, also for parents and grandparents.
What we honestly think you should know
- The security has not been independently tested yet. No certification, audit or pentest has been performed.
- A confirmed request only means someone responded through a previously linked account. It is no guarantee of identity, account number or payment.
- The name Torivela is a working name; no trademark has been registered yet.
