Urgent help
You don't trust it. Good that you're stopping.
Follow these steps. You don't need to prove anything or convince anyone.
End the conversation
Hang up or close the chat. Don't reply in the same conversation, not even to check.
Call back yourself
Call the person on a number you already knew, for example from your own contacts. Never the number from the message.
Share no codes
No login codes, PINs, passwords or codes from text messages or your banking app. Not even to ‘the bank’ or ‘the police’.
Already paid or shared codes?
Call your bank straight away on the number on your bank card or your bank's website. The faster you act, the better the chance the money can be stopped.
